Pakistan Railway Will Inspect Railway Tracks From Drones

Pakistan Railway authorities have decided to use drone technology for inspection of railway tracks. This technology is going to be used due to increasing bomb blasts on railway tracks especially the one from Karachi to Peshawar and Quetta. These drones will examine an area from 3 to 30 kilometers and will provide its video and pictures to authorities.
Due to continuous bomb blasts on railway tracks Pakistan railway authority is now going to use these technologies. The 1600 kilometer railway track of Karachi to Quetta and Peshawar are in first priority of authorities and will be monitored by 54 drones.
The drone that ranges of 3 kilometer has a price of 3 lac rupees while the drone that has a range of 30 kilometers costs 25 lac rupees. The total cost for this project will range from 15 to 20 crore rupees, said experts of a private company in railway headquarters of Lahore.
Experts in the briefing has also suggested railway authorities to lay down a vibrating system made of optic fiber on railway tracks in order to get report of bombs on track. Experts also suggest about using scanners and thermal cameras in the briefing.
