China WindPower Gets $81 Million in Loans for Solar Farm

China WindPower Group Ltd. (182), a clean-energy operator, got 490 million yuan ($81 million) in loans from China Development Bank Corp. for solar farms.
The 15-year loans will be used to develop a 50-megawatt solar power project in Yongren, Yunnan province, and a 20-megawatt plant in Delingha, Qinghai province, China WindPower said in a statement on its website today.
The company said the bank has provided a total of 1.23 billion yuan in long-term financing to the company’s solar farms to date. China WindPower operates eight solar power projects with a combined capacity of 150 megawatts.
