Famous French Singer Converted to Islam, Starts Wearing Hijab

Paris: Famous female singer of France Mélanie Georgiades who is also famous as Diam’s has converted to Islam, Arab Media reported. According to Press TV she has decided to embrace Islam. She is now wearing Hijab. Well known singer of Europe announced this decision in autobiography. This book tells about her life, Conversion to Islam and decision of wearing Hijab.

32 years old Diam’s told that she decided to change her religion during her visit to Mauritius in 2008. She also told that she read Quran and understand the religion and then she converted. She was away from media from 3-4 years. Recently she came on Television and she was wearing Veil.
Diam’s told that her Muslim friend played role in her conversion. She is so much away from her past drug Addicted life. She also told that she married one year ago and now she is mother of a child.

It’s worth mention here that there is huge conflict between French Muslims and Government on Hijab Issue. Some women also faced penalty on wearing Hijab on Public places.
